Okay, so a couple of months ago I got a chance to meet the Creative Director of Genetic Denim, Ali Fatourechhi, who is HOT! I gotta’ say I dig a guy who knows a woman’s body, and if you’ve ever worn a pair of Genetic Denim you’d agree, he knows a woman’s body well! As he rightfully should! Ali spent months researching and having thousands of women try on various designer jeans. The story goes that he travelled across the United States with designer jeans (not labeled), set up shop at stores, warehouses, Universities, and had women try the jeans on with mirrors outside of the change rooms. He simply sat with a pad and pen, observed, and wrote down everything the women said. He found that there are a couple of things that matter most to women when it comes to jeans. You’re only as good as the first 5 inches below the waist. If it doesn’t fit there then a woman will not buy them. Women only care about how their backside looks in her jeans. And DO NOT tell her to go up a size!
The idea is that just as each person has a different genetic code, they also have different bodies. So Genetic Denim prides itself on making jeans that accentuate your assets and fits to your body type.
After checking out the line at the Windsor Arms Hotel media preview I scored a pair of Genetic Denim jeans and I have to say they are one of the most comfortable pair of jeans I now have the pleasure of owning. They stretch out a bit so you might want to throw them in the dryer to shrink them back to the size you originally got them as. But if you like jeans that are form fitting and comfortable this would be the line for you.
Genetic Denim ranges from $228 -$278 and can be purchased in Canada at Aritizia and TNT.
